What a great week! Not only do we have the privilege of celebrating the unprecedented freedom that God has blessed this country with, but I was also able to wrap up a 6 week-long Master Bath addition for some wonderful folks in Burnside. PLUS, I built a staircase for an amazing repeat customer (see post below). I was blessed to have help from my dad, my son, and my nephew on this Master Suite, thanks!
Enjoy your new Master Suite and staircase ya'll. Most importantly, enjoy some freedom! 🇺🇸

Last year I installed LVP flooring for a great couple in Somerset. They were unsure what they wanted to do with the staircase at that time. However, they decided to go with stained oak treads, with new balusters. Enjoy!

I was blessed this week to have some help on a couple of jobs. I'm still in the middle of adding a bathroom to a Master Bedroom for a couple in Burnside (more the follow once complete). However, I have been needing to finish a job that I started earlier this year, but all the rain had prevented me from finishing. Some friends of ours had their fence gate fall into disrepair and it needed rebuilt. I sunk a new 6x6 post in concrete a couple months ago in preparation for the job, and with the help of my son and nephew we were able to get it done this week. It's 8 feet tall and I ended up using 1 inch thick Hemlock. Heavy, but beautiful. Thanks for the help boys!

Once again, it's been too long since my last update..... Work has been busy as ever, and it's hard to find time for FB. If you know me at all, you know FB isn't my favorite thing in the world. Please see posts below to summarize my last couple of larger jobs. The kitchen renovation and deck are complete. Next large job is already well underway. I'm adding a bathroom to an existing Master Bedroom for a wonderful couple in Burnside. I've also started a fence mending project, but need a good stretch of nice weather to complete that one.

I'm very thankful to have had a hand from my dad on both of these projects. Thanks Dad!

Remember this weekend is Memorial Day, the day we thankfully remember those that have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Enjoy some freedom this weekend! 🇺🇸

In addition to the kitchen renovation I've completed lots of small handyman jobs, and also started a deck for another neighbor this month. 12'x16' elevated deck with stairs. Eventually we'll have to remove a window to the sunroom and install a door to the deck. Again, dad was a HUGE help, as this is a little more than 1 person can typically handle. More to come on the deck once I get the rest of the decking materials and railings in. Enjoy!

Well, it's been about a month since my last post, so I'm overdue for an update. The kitchen renovation is still in full swing and coming along nicely. Electrical and drywall contractors did their thing, and I have been painting walls and tiling the floor. Over 420 square feet of tile was tough on the knees and back. Even harder on my helper for the past 2 weeks (my dad). For 72 years old, he still can out work most folks.
Now that tile and grout is set, cabinets will be installed this week. Then it'll be time to trim, finish the plumbing and electrical, etc. More to follow....

Since I had a light work week on the kitchen renovation, I decided to get a much needed project done at my own house this week as well. I wanted to install a French drain to pick up water that we're getting from the street as well as bury a couple of downspouts in order to divert water as far from the house as possible. My good friend and neighbor has a lot of equipment for this sort of work and we were able to do some horse trading for labor saving both of us some dollar bill💲. We buried 24,000 pounds of stone and 150 feet of pipe. I don't suspect we'll have any more water pooling in the yard.... Enjoy the slideshow!
