🚧 Drainage Project Underway 🚧

We’re pleased to have started works on this fantastic project for Adeiladwyr Mon Cyf / Anglesey Builders Ltd (AMC), carrying out a complete new drainage package including:

✅ Full foul drainage installation
✅ Installation of a new Marsh sewage treatment plant
✅ New soakaway system installation
✅ Upcoming storm water drainage works

The first Building Control inspection has now been completed and passed successfully, allowing us to move confidently onto the next phase of the project. 👷‍♂️

Many people see drainage as something that’s hidden underground and never think about it, but it’s one of the most important parts of any property. If drainage systems are not installed correctly, or existing systems are left unchecked and poorly maintained, they can lead to blocked drains, foul odours, flooding, environmental issues, costly repairs, and even structural damage in the future.

💡 How does a treatment plant work?

A sewage treatment plant is designed to clean wastewater from a property before it is discharged safely into the environment. Wastewater enters the treatment plant where natural bacteria break down solids and organic matter. The treated water is then cleaned to a much higher standard than a traditional septic tank before being discharged into a suitable drainage field or soakaway system.

💡 How does the soakaway work?

Once the wastewater has been treated, it flows into a specially designed soakaway or drainage field. This system allows the clean treated water to gradually filter through the surrounding ground, where it undergoes further natural filtration before returning safely to the environment. Correct sizing, location, and installation are critical to ensure the system works efficiently for many years.

🏡 Extension Progress Update 🏡

Another one of our extension projects is really starting to take shape! 💪

The blockwork is complete, the roof structure is on, and the internal framing is well underway. This is going to create a fantastic additional living space for the homeowner while adding significant value to the property.

Next stage: ✅ Rubber roof installation
Next stage: ✅ Skylight installation
Then we’ll be moving on to the internal works to bring this new space to life.

It’s always great seeing a project transform from foundations and blockwork into a usable living area. A lot of hard work goes into every stage, and we’re looking forward to sharing the finished result.
