Starting from scratch in Surges Bay 🌱
Helen had just downsized, and her new garden was beginning from bare ground. A challenging soil profile, and a clear brief: warmth, colour, and a space that felt like hers.
We designed a layout with winding paths, a low retaining wall, and planting that mixes natives - grevilleas and chrysocephalum - with colourful exotics - sea lavender, camellia, gaura. Something that earns its keep through every season and frames Helen’s beautiful views across the Huon River.
We worked Easter weekend on this one, but Helen rewarded us with the best hot cross buns we’ve ever eaten, so nobody was complaining.
Now Helen and Robbie, her rescue greyhound (and an excellent site supervisor), have a garden that completes their home.
