🦠 SLIME MOULD?! WHAT ON EARTH IS THAT?! 🤢

Well, it's exactly what we found on a recent property inspection! 👀

It might look like something from a horror film, but slime mould is very real!

💧 It thrives in damp conditions.
🏚️ It could signal underlying moisture problems.
🔍 And it's definitely worth investigating!

The slime mould itself isn't usually the problem… it's WHY it's there that matters!

🏡🔍 ONE PHOTO. FIVE THINGS TO THINK ABOUT. HOW MANY WOULD YOU HAVE SPOTTED? 👀

At first glance, it's a fairly ordinary-looking property. Brickwork, patio, fencing… nothing particularly dramatic.

But look a little closer, and there's quite a bit worth mentioning!

🔎 Restricted access – A narrow side passage makes inspecting parts of the property difficult.
🪵 Stored materials – Timber and debris prevent a proper look at the lower brickwork and damp-proof course.
💧 Blocked drainage – Debris and a loose drain cover need attention to help keep surface water flowing where it should.
🌱 Vegetation growth – Plants growing against the base of the walls could contribute to moisture being retained.
🛠️ Weathered fencing – Signs of deterioration mean maintenance should be on the radar.

Individually, these might not seem like major concerns. But together? They tell a much bigger story.

And that's exactly why a property survey is about more than simply looking for cracks in the walls!

It's about spotting potential issues, understanding maintenance requirements and identifying areas where further investigation might be needed.

Because the little things can sometimes lead to much bigger bills if they're overlooked. 💷

Well… here's your answer! 👇

And while some areas simply aren't safe or accessible to inspect, you can be sure we'll make every effort to investigate wherever we reasonably can.
