You may not be aware but the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is investigating “a deer mortality event” that is ongoing in southern Washington County, a DNR Deer Herd Special stated. Reports of dead deer have been received from the Richfield, Hubertus, Slinger and West Bend areas. The cause is most likely EHD. I've had several calls to remove dead deer today. There is no indication that they were hit by cars. If you have a dead deer that you need removed please call us as soon as possible. We will remove, disinfect, and dispose of properly.

If you ever run across a raccoon in the daytime chances are it's sick.
The customer called and said it was walking like it was drunk, trembling, and also had some crust in the eyes. More than likely it had distemper. It was caught with a catch pole and euthanized because distemper is usually fatal.
