QuelCast Fire Collars are constructed from a robust polypropylene material and contain a high performance intumescent material which reacts under the influence of heat. Bag Column formers are a single use of formwork system that gives an excellent smooth fair face surface finish. Our column formers are manufactured by welding together several layers of high quality polyethylene. Once this is complete, a water resistant foil is also spirally wound over the kraft paper, sealing the column against humidity. This manufacturing process requires no additional adhesives which reduces the wall thickness, making the BAG Column formers light and easy to handle.

Designs:

Lined – BAG Column Formers have a PVC liner which is fitted the whole length of the inner diameter the Column former, this provides an impeccably smooth finish. BAG column formers will only leave a hairline seam on the concrete form the point where the liner joint meets.

Unlined – BAG Column formers are also available unlined for applications where surface finish is not critical. This column former will leave a spiral effect on the finished column.

Square – BAG can offer square or rectangular columns on request,made from our standard Column former with an additional polystyrene insert, manufactured to your specific requirements.

Bespoke – BAG can also offer made to order bespoke designs

Heave Stopper - Forming a true void

Unlike other solutions Heave Stopper creates a complete void beneath the foundation to offer maximum protection from ground movement.
Heave Stopper is a board constructed from a cardboard honeycomb core set between water resistant facings.
When dry, the boards have a compressive strength that can support concrete and steel up to 1 meter thick without deflection or creep compression. Once the concrete is cured and self supporting, Heave Stopper’s job is done. Water is now introduced to the core, and in this process Heave Stopper yields to ground heave without transmitting pressure to the structure. Eventually, the board will naturally disappear to leave a permanent 100% void with no residual density to pass on heave stresses.
This can allow engineers to design thinner slabs and beams using less concrete and reinforcement.
Heave Stopper can also be used to create a void to protect structures from vibration.

Miothene

For Joint filling and forming a brickwork and concrete slabs.

Closed cell polyethylene foam for use as a joint filler, joint former, non-load transfer filler, grout check, Stop-end, insulant and many other applications.

MIOTHENE is compressible yet semi-rigid, strong and non-absorbent. Its is produced in various densities, the most widely used is standard miothene 30.

It is Light, clean and easy to use. It can be stuck to all normal building surfaces.

MIOTHENE is resistant to most chemicals and oils, is non-staining and has high weathering and ozone resistance.
