🪶🔪 The puppet who once longed to be a real boy... now wants to be a real killer.
In Pinocchio Unstrung (2026), the classic tale of the innocent wooden boy is reimagined as a dark, twisted nightmare. After being abandoned by his creator and left to decay, Pinocchio (Cameron Brodeur) miraculously comes to life—but his once innocent dreams are replaced by a thirst for vengeance. No longer seeking to be human, he now seeks something far darker: autonomy through violence.
Haunted by the strings that once controlled him, Pinocchio uses them as deadly weapons, ensnaring his victims in an intricate game of cat and mouse. Wandering through a fog-drenched, desolate landscape, he targets those he holds responsible for his twisted fate. The legend of Pinocchio, once filled with innocence and wonder, is shattered as he becomes a relentless force of horror.
Robert Englund plays a mysterious figure who may hold the key to understanding Pinocchio’s curse, while Richard Brake takes on the role of a seasoned traveler who stumbles into the puppet’s deadly territory. Together with a group of unsuspecting wanderers, they must fight to survive the horrors of the puppet’s wrath, as Pinocchio hunts them down, each step taking him further from the boy he once was.
Pinocchio Unstrung is a chilling reimagining that transforms the familiar childhood story into a relentless horror, proving that some toys should never be given life. With blood-soaked strings and a thirst for revenge, Pinocchio’s terrifying quest for autonomy will leave you questioning the true cost of freedom.
