Celebrating the grand opening of The Pines at Peach Road, a new 119-unit affordable housing community on the south side of Raleigh.

Designed to support families and everyday living, the community offers a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom homes along with shared amenities that create space for connection and community. Located along the future southern BRT corridor, it will continue to expand access and connectivity across the city.

Funded through 4% low-income housing tax credits administered by NCHFA, this project reflects a shared commitment to providing high-quality, long-term affordable housing.

We are grateful to partner with Oppidan and the full project team and proud to be part of a community that will make a lasting impact for residents.

JetZero, a pioneering startup in the aviation industry, sets its sight on the renovation of a 32,000 sf space into a comprehensive experiential Design Center in Long Beach, Calif., adjacent to the Long Beach Airport terminal. The result will be an experiential workplace that moves beyond the traditional aerospace office model, providing an innovative setting for employees and future stakeholders that reflects JetZero’s forward-thinking approach to flight. Working in close collaboration with JetZero, the project aims to support the company’s expanding team and evolving operational needs.

As World Landscape Architecture Month comes to a close 🌿

In Raleigh, Highland North Hills reimagines what outdoor space can be in a dense, mixed-use environment. From an active terrace designed for connection and movement to a rooftop overlook that invites slower, more reflective moments, the landscape creates a layered experience across every level.

Through thoughtful planning, planting, and collaboration, these elevated spaces become more than amenities. They support daily life, strengthen community, and bring a sense of place to the heart of North Hills.

In recognition of World Landscape Architecture Month, we are highlighting how thoughtful landscape design shapes the way communities are experienced.

At Novel Cary, located in Cary, NC, the landscape serves as the foundation for connection. Across the 14-acre site, courtyards, gardens, and amenity spaces are woven together to support daily life, from shared meals and conversation to quiet moments outdoors.

By layering planting, circulation, and open space, the design creates a setting that feels both active and relaxed. It is an approach that reflects the impact of landscape architecture in creating places that foster connection, wellness, and a strong sense of belonging.

This Earth Day, we are proud to spotlight Brooklyn Scotto, an emerging designer in our Raleigh office who is using design to give back to the community.

While attending NC State, Brooklyn played a key role in designing an accessible outdoor learning center at the Governor Morehead School for the Blind through a student led, volunteer effort. The space was thoughtfully created to support learning, play, and independence through inclusive design. From tactile paths to sensory elements and durable, low maintenance materials, the project shows how accessibility and sustainability can come together to create meaningful community impact.

“This project showed me how powerful design can be when it is rooted in empathy and community,” Brooklyn shared.

We are proud to support designers who lead with purpose and help create spaces that truly serve the people who use them. Happy Earth Day 🌿
