At the Karadjordjeva Tunnel project site in Serbia, there is a Serbian translator who speaks fluent Chinese — Tijana. From her first encounter with the Chinese language in primary school, to being admitted to the Department of Sinology at the University of Belgrade, and now joining POWERCHINA, she has been connected to Chinese for over a decade. At the project site, she efficiently handles conference interpretation, on-site communication, and other tasks, becoming an indispensable bridge connecting the Chinese and Serbian teams. Her colleagues often say that with her around, communication flows much more smoothly. On the front lines of construction, there are many young people like Tijana who use language to bridge different cultures while writing their own stories of dedication!

Recently, the Belgrade Metro Makiš Depot Project held an International Women's Day celebration, bringing together Chinese and Serbian female employees for a warm and enjoyable time. During the event, everyone tasted Chinese desserts, shared insights on collaboration, and made tangyuan (sweet glutinous rice balls) together—a traditional symbol of reunion. Recently, POWERCHINA officially signed the commercial contract for the MA Highway Project with Montenegro's state road company, Monteput. This marks POWERCHINA's first entry into the Montenegrin market and represents a significant breakthrough in its expansion within the Central and Eastern Europe region. The Employer Representatives expressed full confidence in POWERCHINA's contract ex*****on capabilities and look forward to both parties jointly overcoming complex geological challenges to ensure the project is delivered on schedule and to high quality. This approximately 23-kilometer highway will strongly enhance connectivity between Montenegro and neighboring countries, injecting new momentum into regional economic development.

At the EXPO Belgrade 2027 project site, Business Specialist Marko can be seen walking briskly with a folder in hand every morning. This native Serbian youth has now become a key bridge in the project's procurement team.
Leveraging his deep understanding of the local construction materials market, he helps the project identify high-quality suppliers, prepares professional comparative analysis reports, and supports efficient procurement decisions. In his spare time, Marko takes the initiative to learn how to use chopsticks, taste Chinese cuisine, and enhance cultural understanding through exchange. His daily work reflects the practical collaboration between the Chinese and Serbian teams and serves as a vivid example of builders from both countries working hand in hand to advance the project and deepen cooperation.

At the construction site of the EXPO Belgrade 2027 project by POWERCHINA, a busy figure can be seen every day-assistant engineer Nađa. Every morning, she arrives punctually at Hall A of the exhibition area with her notebook, meticulously measuring the temperature and humidity in every corner. These seemingly simple data points are critical for ensuring the quality of the project.
Her work, however, goes far beyond just data recording. From processing meeting minutes, handling correspondence and translations, coordinating with subcontractors, to organizing and compiling construction logs. Nađa connects every aspect of the project with her professionalism and meticulousness. "Doing every small task well and contributing to the smooth progress of the project is my responsibility," she says with a smile. In her ordinary role, Nađa is demonstrating commitment and perseverance through her actions.
