It was pleasure to speak to the students of Enterprise and Management in SETU Extended Campus today about Patents and support available to innovators via the Growth Hub and SETU.

While I am actively providing Retrofit Services to existing homes via our sister company Encon. I have been developing a new build MMC housing system in the background. Visor MMC officially launched last year and we have been proactive since our launch. 2024 is shaping up to be an exciting year for the MMC Industry so be sure to watch this space.

Conor Walsh, founder and CTO of Visor MMC, will be speaking at the 'Modern Methods of Construction Conference 2023', posing the important question: Do the Benefits Outweigh the Risks?

Earlier this week the Cabinet Committee on Housing met to discuss the crisis and agreed new subsidies for home builders - a welcome attempt to cut the cost of construction.

It was interesting to hear the Housing Minister call out the industry for not using modern methods of construction ( ) enough and he stated that new policies on sustainable building and densification needed to be introduced to make sure we build more efficiently.

These welcome incentives could be announced as early as next week and the industry needs to be ready…
