I wasn’t surprised to see terms like “Climate Anxiety” and “Climate Despair” printed in the New York Times recently.

A story written by a Kenyan friend of mine about the difference that regenerative soil made for the health of plants when army worms devastated many Maize farms there. Pretty awesome!

When we allow ourselves, it is easy to see that agriculture does not have to deplete the soil. If anything, to harvest high quality produce it takes high quality soil and if we will listen, the soil is readily telling us just how to build its profile.

Excited to share about a consult we did this weekend. Haven is looking to grow as much food as he can in the front and back yards of his recently bought house in S Austin. He’s super inspired about regenerative gardening, growing food and inviting community to share in the abundance and learning! We discussed removing some invasive trees to make space for fruit trees, turning the back of his house into a bean growing wall, making berms and swales to maximize catching water and grow space and so much more! I’m so excited to witness the transformation over the coming weeks and months. Here’s a “before picture” of the front yard. Oh and he has the sweetest dog ever named Evie.
