This project started as an overgrown, sloped area and was transformed into a custom natural rock retaining wall built for strength, stability, and a clean finished look. By reshaping the hillside and carefully placing each stone, we created a long-lasting solution that not only stabilizes the slope but also adds usable space and character to the property.
We want to send a big thank you to our customer for trusting Island Iron Excavation with this project — we truly appreciate the opportunity and the great collaboration from start to finish. Projects like this are why we take so much pride in what we do.

As we wrap up another year, we’d like to take a moment to thank our fantastic crew for absolutely killing it this year. We took on some major projects, and the team pulled through every single time.

And of course, none of this would be possible without the support of our amazing customers. It was truly a pleasure working with each and every one of you. thank you for being part of our journey.

As much as we would’ve liked to post more of our projects this year, we’ve learned we’re better with machines than social media 😅 but we’ll always get the job done right!

A new addition to the fleet. New year new gear. Thank you Bill from Xtend rentals Xtend Rentals, Industrial sales & Safety Vancouver Island for bringing us our newly purchased 308 out of Alberta back to Vancouver island.

Heres a few great shots of a beautifully tiered retaining wall we built this summer! This massive project used 192,400 lbs of Redi-Rock products, including 121 blocks and top caps. Standing 14.5 feet tall and 40 feet long, this wall isn’t just strong—it’s a showstopper!

We also installed custom lighting, prepped for concrete, and carefully placed boulders to complete the look alongside newly formed stairs.

A huge thank you to and for their support, and of course, to our amazing customers for trusting us with their vision!
