Here is a peek into how I season my cast iron and carbon steel cookware.

-Warm in the oven for ~5mins
-Apply your seasoning oil - I use crisco, but most high smoke point oil will work.
-Using a lint free towel (or old tee shirt 😉) buff out ALL OF THE SEASONING OIL!
-Seriously - buff the seasoning oil off until the pan looks dry
-Bake the empty pan upside down in the oven for 1 hour @ 450F
-Turn off the oven and allow cookware to cool slowly in the oven.
-Repeat as necessary.

Electrolysis works by running a direct current through an electrolyte between two or more pieces of metal.
The positively charged anode attracts the negatively charged chlorides in the pan which is acting as the cathode. This gentle yet powerful cleaning method is used by museums and archeologists to clean ancient and priceless artifacts.
If you have cookware with rust, carbon build up, uneven seasoning, burnt spots...electrolysis may be the answer!

This is an unmarked ‘discount’ cast iron pan that was fully restored for a customer. If we can get eggs to slide on THIS pan, we can handle anything you’ve got!!
