As we head into 2026, we want to share a small update to how we handle project estimates.
Over the years, we’ve proudly offered free estimates. Recently, we’ve seen an increase in non-serious and “bogus” bid requests, which takes valuable time away from customers who truly matter, the ones ready to move forward.
What’s Changing
Starting in 2026, a small estimate fee will be required for new customers requesting a professional bid.
✔️ This fee helps cover the time, travel, and expertise required to properly evaluate your project
✔️ If you choose Motree & Contracting, that fee will be applied directly toward your project total
✔️ This allows us to focus on quality, accuracy, and customers who value professional service
What’s NOT Changing
• Repeat clients will never be charged an estimate fee
• Veterans will never be charged an estimate fee
• Our commitment to honest work, fair pricing, and quality craftsmanship remains the same
Why We’re Doing This
This isn’t about charging more, it’s about respecting time, experience, and doing things the right way. Professional estimates mean thoughtful planning, clear communication, and standing behind our work.
