Walton & Company has officially wrapped up work at Camp Tuckahoe - New Birth of Freedom Council and the results are looking better than ever! 🏕️

Our teams originally installed the mechanical system more than 23 years ago, making it a true full-circle moment to return for a full HVAC and controls upgrade. The scope included removing the existing systems and installing eight new HVAC units along with a new building controls.

The upgraded system features a dual fuel setup that switches between heat pumps and propane furnaces based on outdoor temperatures. The new controls also help balance run times and improve overall efficiency across the equipment. Everything is now running smoother, smarter and cooler than ever!

In this role, you’ll diagnose, service and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, boilers, VRF systems and advanced control systems. Meet Adam Wantz, Level 4 Service Technician👋🏻

🛠️Learning His Trade
Adam first discovered his interest in the industry during high school while working for a family friend’s plumbing and heating business. He quickly realized he enjoyed the hands-on nature of the trade and the opportunity to work across many job sites.

👷🏻‍♂️Finding His Way
Adam learned about Walton & Company through a personal recommendation from his girlfriend’s mother, whose employer frequently utilized our services. Since joining the team, Adam has taken on a variety of tasks and has focused on improving his skills through:

🔹Managing ongoing service calls
🔹Handling critical equipment repairs
🔹Executing daily preventative maintenance work

🏍️Off the Job
When he’s not at work, Adam keeps busy and active outdoors. He enjoys working on fast cars and motorcycles, operating chainsaws, cutting firewood, hunting and playing sports.
