What actually happens in a service upgrade, since people ask.

Four pieces: the service riser, the meter socket, the service entrance cable, and the main breaker panel. The utility drop gets cut, the new equipment goes in, and everything outside is built with weather resistant materials meant to last.

You also end up with a surge protection device in the panel and a service receptacle next to it, which most older setups never had.

But the first step is not any of that. The first step is a conversation about how and why you want it done, so we can size it right. Sometimes 100 amp is genuinely fine. Sometimes you have an electric stove, electric dryer, electric water heater and a hot tub, and 200 is the honest answer.

Worcester and surrounding towns. Free estimate at (508) 735-7245.

Here is a free one before the heat kicks on.

Look at the motor housing on your ceiling fan. There is usually a small switch that changes which way the blades spin. Flip it so the fan runs clockwise on low for the winter. It gently pushes the warm air that collects at the ceiling back down into the room, without blowing a draft on you.

Takes ten seconds and a step stool.

If the fan wobbles, hums, has no switch, or you have a room that has been waiting years for a fan, give us a call. We install and replace ceiling fans in Worcester and the surrounding towns, including the fan-rated box it needs to hang safely.

Licensed and insured, MA Master License 21807-A. Free estimate at (508) 735-7245.

Have a fantastic day everybody.

Auburn neighbors, this one is for you.

We are down your way most weeks, from Pakachoag Hill over to Stoneville and out along Southbridge Street, and this is the time of year the fall list shows up. The outlet that quit over the summer. The breaker that trips when the space heater kicks on. The outside light that never came back after the last storm.

The way we work is simple. We talk first about how and why you want the work done, then we tell you what you actually need. Sometimes that is a 200 amp service. Sometimes it is a lot less than you were expecting.

Panel and service upgrades, troubleshooting, outlets and switches, generator hookups, EV chargers, indoor and outdoor lighting.

Licensed and insured, MA Master License 21807-A. Call (508) 735-7245 for a free estimate.

Have a fantastic day everybody.

⚡ WHEN SOMEONE NEEDS A HAND, WE SHOW UP. ⚡️

After the recent weekend storm ripped this multifamily electrical service away from the building, Tuesday morning started a little differently than planned.

A friend needed help, so we made it happen.

Josh and Kevin jumped on the repair first thing, working together to get the damaged service put back together and everything moving in the right direction.

Some days are about sticking to the schedule. Other days are about adjusting the schedule because someone needs you.

That’s one of the things we love about this trade. We get to solve problems, help people through unexpected situations, and hopefully make a stressful day a little easier.

Show up. Help out. Get it done. ⚡💪

Another one in the books for the Bergeron Electrical Contracting crew.

⚡ Problem found. Problem solved. ⚡️

Yesterday’s travels brought us out to Orange, MA for a boiler troubleshooting call.

Not every electrical job starts with a set of plans and a clear path forward. Sometimes the call is simply, “Something isn’t working.” That’s when it’s time to slow things down, work through the system, follow the controls, test what needs to be tested, and figure out where the problem actually is.

Troubleshooting has always been one of the parts of the trade we enjoy most. There’s something satisfying about walking into a problem, working through it step by step, and eventually finding the answer.

Another service call wrapped up, another customer taken care of, and another problem solved.

That’s a thumbs-up kind of day. 👍🏽⚡

FRIDAY. FINISH STRONG. ⚡️💪🏽

There’s something different about that Friday push.

The week is behind you, the weekend is in sight, but there’s still work to be done.

Josh and Kevin working together here to get the backing installed and everything prepared for the electrical panels. Nothing flashy, just two guys working together, solving problems, and moving the job forward.

That’s what a good crew does.

Show up for each other.
Share the workload.
Keep a good attitude.
And keep pushing until the job is done.

Another busy week in the books and another reminder that the people beside you make all the difference.

Work hard. Work together. Finish strong.

Have a great weekend from all of us at Bergeron Electrical Contracting!

⚡ FRIDAY. WHAT A WEEK.

Final three days. All hands on deck. A lot of work, a lot of laughs, a few lunches together, and one hell of a push to bring this project home.

For the latter part of the week we tackled an old Burncoat two-family 400A service upgrade along with a new landlord panel, hallway lighting, smoke/CO detection, exterior lighting, conduit work and basement lighting rework. It was the kind of project that required everyone to pull in the same direction, and that’s exactly what this crew did.

But standing here at the end of a long week, the work itself isn’t really what I’m thinking about.

It’s the guys.

There was a time when I never could have imagined getting to this point in my career. Having a crew of guys I genuinely enjoy working alongside, eating lunch with, solving problems with, laughing with, and grinding through the difficult days with is something I don’t take for granted. They put forth a standard that was set long ago.

We worked hard these past three days. Everybody contributed. Everybody stepped up. And we brought another big one across the finish line together.

I’m incredibly grateful for what we’re building at Bergeron Electrical, but even more grateful for the people I’m getting to build it with.

Blessed beyond measure. Proud of this crew. And thankful for another week doing what we do. ⚡

Josh, Johnny and Kevin, thank you for your passion and dedication to what we are building. 💪🏽

Enjoy the weekend. We’ve earned this one.

✌🏼✌🏼 Deuces to a VERY demanding short week.

Coming back from Labor Day weekend and jumping straight back into the grind has a funny way of making a four-day week feel like six.

This one tested us. Service upgrades, long days, tight schedules, unexpected challenges, and plenty of problem-solving along the way. But job after job, the guys kept pushing and brought everything we had on the schedule home.

I couldn’t be more appreciative of Josh, Johnny, and Kevin for the effort they put in this week. When the days get long and the work gets demanding, having a crew that takes pride in what they do and keeps pushing until the job is done makes all the difference.

There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes to keep a small business moving forward, and weeks like this remind me just how important the people beside you really are.

Proud of these guys. Proud of the work we put out. And definitely ready to throw up the deuces to this one. ✌️😂

That’s a wrap. Have a great weekend!

⚡ BERGERON ELECTRICAL: THE POWER LEAGUE
Issue #12 • September 4, 2026 — LABOR DAY WEEKEND SPECIAL 🇺🇸⚡

No villains this week. No monsters. No electrical disasters threatening the city.

This issue is about the people who show up and do the work.

Labor Day is a chance to recognize the men and women in the trades who get up every morning, put on the boots, grab the tools, and use their skills to keep our homes, businesses, and communities moving forward.

For us, it’s also a reminder that none of this happens without a great team.

Long days. Hot attics. Cold mornings. Tight crawl spaces. Difficult troubleshooting. Changing plans. And those jobs where you take one look and think, “Well… this should be interesting.” 😂

Through all of it, you rely on the people working beside you.

I’m incredibly proud of the crew we’ve built and the work we accomplish together. But working hard also means recognizing when it’s time to put the tools down, recharge, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy what you’re working so hard for in the first place.

So this Labor Day weekend, The Power League is officially off duty. 🍔🇺🇸⚡

To our team, our fellow tradespeople, our customers, and everyone out there working hard to build something better:

Enjoy the weekend. You’ve earned it!

WORK HARD. TAKE TIME. ENJOY WHAT MATTERS.

Throwback Thursday ⚡️ February 2016

Different job. Different scenery. Same trade.

Back in February 2016, I was sent out with a handful of other electricians to help tackle a large rooftop solar installation. It meant plenty of long days, cold mornings, and weekend overtime. It also gave me the opportunity to learn an entirely different facet of the electrical trade on a pretty impressive scale.

One of the things I’ve always appreciated about this trade is how much there is to learn. You can spend your entire career doing electrical work and still find yourself on a job that teaches you something completely new.

Looking back 10 years later, jobs like this were another piece of the puzzle toward building experience, expanding my knowledge, and helping shape the electrician and business owner I am today.

And apparently I was pretty excited about it. 😂☀️⚡️
