Forget the Corporate SALES PITCH from the do-it-yourself hucksters,- the insurance companies don’t offer policy discounts for DIY security systems or cameras; because those systems don’t reduce claims. Additionally they get hacked into from time to time, risking your network; but the jig is up. The Federal Trade Commission and Consumer Reports are on it through fines, lawsuits, and revoking recommendations.
