This monument light located right off Prince William Parkway had a car roll over onto it, causing the light to snap off its attachment at the top of its post and causing the raceway underneath the post to be broken loose.

After digging down just to the bottom of the post I was able to find that the conduit had only been broken directly underneath the light, making for an easy replacement of the post and light and repair of the raceway.

While on site, I noticed that the electrical panel supplying power to the monument lights was pulling away from the wall and reattached it with some heavy duty concrete anchors.

This addition with FXBG Construction was a ton of fun and an interesting one.

The addition was proposed to be built on the side of the house where the electrical service entered. To begin construction, the electrical service needed to be temporarily relocated to a small structure in the yard.

Once construction of the addition was complete, the electrical service was then moved back onto the new portion of the house. This was all done with minimal power interruption to the customer.

This customer wanted to update their main electrical panel to add additional circuitry to the garage for a mini split.

When replacing the main service panel, an exterior disconnect and whole home surge protection are now required by the NEC and State of Virginia.

In the process of the panel replacement and electrical service upgrade, 2 new grounding rods and a new grounding line to the cold water system were installed to update the electrical grounding system.

It is important to have projects like this done by a licensed professional and inspected by your local building authority.

Installing new circuitry doesn't always have to involve cutting into sheetrock.

In this case, the customer wanted a new circuit run to the far side of their garage, but they didn't want to have to damage the sheetrock to run Non Metallic cabling inside the walls. Metal Clad cable was surface mounted across the ceiling and run down to the location they wanted their receptacles.

It has been a crazy little over a year in business!

I am very fortunate to have been so busy in the past year and grateful for all the connections I've been able to make. I am also beyond relieved to be out of the Focus and into a van!

For the New(ish) Year, I hope to be posting more about all the projects I'll be doing here on the page.
