Plumbing Foreman
NOW HIRING in Winter Garden, Florida

Role Summary:
Supervise and coordinate crews in the installation of plumbing systems and fixtures on 3 to 4 story Apartment Complex job sites (+/- 250 units)
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate install crews
• Read blueprints and submittals; perform layouts
• Order material and coordinate with management to schedule installation crews
• Enforce safety regulations and perform safety meetings with crews once a week
• Attend job-site meeting, study job completion schedules and work with management to meet deadlines
• Although the plumbing foreman is considered a “supervisor”, when necessary, no man or woman is too good to hold a shovel. If the foreman has time they should be hands on whether trimming the common areas, installing goosenecks on pan lines, running water through plumbing systems to ensure they are working properly, helping piecework crews load building, or throwing out trash
Job Qualifications:
• Basic understanding of how to use an IPAD to read blueprints, submittals, change orders, write emails, etc.
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have 1-year experience as a plumbing foreman
• Has experience with piping in CPVC and PVC.
Hours:
• The common work schedule is 7am to 4 pm with a 1-hour lunch (40 hours a week.)
• When necessary, to keep up with job site schedules and any upcoming service calls, overtime and Saturday work is allowed with management approval
Salary:
• $18-$25 based on experience
Benefits:
• Medical, Vision, Dental, Life insurance
• After 3 months, you will receive company shirts
• Company Vehicle and gas card
Other Requirements:
• Must have basic tools (Drills, Tape Measure, Shovel, Reciprocating Saw, pipe cutters, etc.)
• Must wear boots, Hard Hat, Jeans, flourscent shirt (orange and yellow shirts will suffice,) safety glasses and gloves

Guess What?!?
A special total solar eclipse is happening Monday, August 21. What makes it so special? You can only see it from inside the United States of America. This is the first time that a special eclipse like this has happened since the USA became a country 241 years ago!

IMPORTANT SAFETY: REMEMBER DON’T LOOK UP!

It is never safe to look right at the Sun, even during a partial eclipse! It can hurt your eyes in a way that even doctors cannot fix. If you want to watch this special eclipse, there are two safe ways:

ON TV AND ONLINE — You can watch video of the eclipse while it is happening on TV and on the Internet.

WITH SPECIAL GLASSES — If you have SPECIAL ECLIPSE GLASSES, you can look at the eclipse. But you CANNOT look at the eclipse with regular sunglasses or just your eyes.

GCP TEAM - Do you know about the new FPC section that requires recirculation pumps when the hot water line run is longer than 50' (it used to be 100')? Check your units and your submittal to make sure that you have the pump, recirc line, and insulation ready to go BEFORE drywalling. Please share!
