We've been building toward this moment for a long time.Since FORBA was founded in 2016, we've been chipping away — managing maintenance, raising a few hundred dollars for signs, then a few thousand for bridges, then landing a formal partnership with the City of Winston-Salem that changed everythin...

Big props to the Tanglewood crew and the Forsyth County Parks and Rec dept for getting this bridge replaced so quickly. The Parks and Rec dept paid for and had the lumber delivered quickly and the crew jumped on the construction. It was only down for a couple of weeks. We really appreciate all of the hard work and cooperation!

We are coming into the thaw part of the freez-thaw cycle which is the worst time to be on the trails. They are going to be slushy and super muddy over the next few days until we get hit with more precipitation. Please give the trails some time to dry out before attempting to ride them. Thanks!

Join us May 17th for the grand opening of the Dragon’s Lair Kids Mountain Bike Area. This is FORBA’s first new trail system and just like the future kids who will ride it we learned so much! The new trail system features two beginner trails specifically designed for progressing young riders. The easiest option, Dragon’s Belly, is geared towards balance bikes and keeps kids within eyesight of the trailhead. Once balance and braking skills are built up kids can move onto the Dragon’s Tooth full of rollers and berms.

As well as riding the new trail system kids will be able to paint their own dragon on the new picnic tables at the trailhead.

So bring your kids and join us for some fun at 11:30 at the gravel parking lot above the Marina Playground parking lot!
