🎉 Team Member Spotlight: Meet Tanner!

Tanner joined ICON this summer as our newest project manager in training. Born in California, he recently moved to Winston-Salem from Washington state, where he worked in residential remodeling and restoration. He now lives here with his wife and their three children, with a fourth on the way! Here are some fun facts to help you get to know him better:

✔️ When not working, Tanner can be found spending time with his wife and kids.
✔️ Hobbies include: fishing, target and s***t shooting, and skateboarding
✔️ Go-to beverage: On a hot day, a peanut butter, chocolate, and banana shake. On a cold day, strong black coffee in the biggest thermos he can find.
✔️ Tanner in 3 words: calculated, capable, and creative
✔️ Favorite way to start the day: quiet prayer and hugs from his family

We are so excited for Tanner to be a part of our team and to welcome him and his family to Winston-Salem!

As we kick off October, let’s take a moment to look back on a great September!

~ Proud to support Samaritan Ministries at their annual Sam and Eggs event
~ Our sign is officially up at the new office (stay tuned for a full tour!)
~ Wrapped up the Copeland Project with a final walkthrough, and these homeowners are loving their remodeled primary bath, kitchen, mudroom, and laundry room
~ Putting the final touches on the Austin Lane primary bath, featuring a stunning arched walk-in shower wrapped in deep green tile
~ Celebrated Elias’ birthday (and embarrassed him thoroughly)
~ Turned an underused deck into a brand-new room, transforming wasted outdoor space into valuable living space
~ Safety lessons are part of our Project Managers’ weekly meetings, and this time the focus was fall protection

Thank you to our clients, partners, and community for making it such a memorable month. Here’s to an even better October!

🎉 Team Member Spotlight: Meet Lauren!

Lauren recently joined ICON as a design assistant. Originally from Alabama, Lauren now lives in Winston-Salem with her husband, Blake. Here are some fun facts to help you get to know her better:

✔️ When not working, Lauren can be found grabbing coffee with friends.
✔️ Hobbies include: trying new recipes, antiquing, walking with friends, and planning her next trip.
✔️ Tradition she looks forward to every year: football season — “Every fall you’ll find me cheering on my alma mater, The University of Alabama, and spending Saturdays watching the game with family and friends.”
✔️ Favorite place to visit: Gulf Coast beaches
✔️ Go-to beverage: In the morning, an iced vanilla latte, half sweet, from Camino Bakery

We are so excited for Lauren to be a part of our team!

🏆We are truly honored to have won “Best Whole Home Remodel Over $1M” for our Blue Ridge project at the 2026 NCHBA STARS Awards Gala in Charlotte last week.

This 6,000-square-foot renovation and addition to a 100+ year-old home took 20 months, thousands of hours, and an incredible team to bring it to life.

A special shout-out to our project manager, Jim, who poured his heart and soul into this home from start to finish. We’re so proud to see all that hard work recognized!

This Labor Day, we’re dreaming of everywhere but the office. Starting with this home.

✨Enjoying al fresco dining on the covered patio
✨Unwinding on the walk-out balcony and private sitting area just off the office (don’t worry, not in the office)
✨Relaxing in the hot tub or lounging on the spa deck

While Winston-Salem is our home, we’ve also completed home renovations throughout the High Country, Lake Norman, Hickory, Greensboro, Lake James, and beyond.

If you have a vacation home, we’d love to chat about making it more functional for your family and generations to come!

✨Say goodbye to appliance clutter on your countertops.

These appliance cabinets come with power outlets on multiple shelves, giving you a hidden space to store your microwave, toaster, blender, and other small appliances.

These details maximize storage, enhance the functionality of the space, and eliminate clutter on countertops.

“You can simply open the doors, make your smoothie, and then close it all back up” Amanda shared.
