🌿 Recent Project: Fresh Mulch & Lawn Restoration

About two weeks ago, I completed a small landscape and lawn improvement project that included installing 1 yard of fresh mulch across two garden areas. The new mulch gave both areas a clean, finished appearance and helped define the garden spaces.

I also repaired a rut in the lawn caused by a vehicle driving across the grass. I corrected the damaged area with new soil, properly leveled it, and applied fresh grass seed to help restore the turf and blend the repaired section back into the existing lawn.

I enjoy taking care of these smaller details that can make a noticeable difference in the overall appearance of a property. From refreshing landscape beds to repairing damaged turf, proper preparation and attention to detail are important for getting the best finished result.

🌿 Bringing Back Clean, Crisp Lawn Edges at Windsor Self Storage

I recently completed a lawn cleanup and edge restoration at Windsor Self Storage, one of my commercial properties. Over time, grass had started growing over and into the existing lawn borders, making the areas around the storefront look overgrown and less defined.

I went through the area with a dedicated lawn edger and w**d trimmer to remove the overgrown grass and redefine the lawn lines, creating a clean, crisp edge between the turf and surrounding landscape areas. Small details like this make a noticeable difference in the overall appearance of a commercial property and help keep the property looking consistently maintained.

🔨 A Quick Stop Between Lawns: Restoring a Landscape Border

Tuesday was a busy day with 13 lawns on the schedule, but I made a quick stop at one of my regular properties to take care of a small landscaping project before completing the mowing.

The property had approximately 40 feet of original metal landscape edging that had been accidentally pulled out of the ground in the past. Without the edging properly secured, the existing landscape rock had started spreading into the surrounding grass, making it difficult to maintain a clean separation between the two areas.

The client chose to have the original edging reinstalled rather than replacing it. I carefully put the existing edging back into place and properly secured it to restore the defined border and keep the rock contained within the landscape area.

After completing the edging work, I finished up by mowing the lawn as part of the property's regular maintenance. It was a quick stop during a busy mowing day, but the difference a properly restored border makes is noticeable.

I enjoy taking care of these smaller details while maintaining my regular properties. Sometimes a simple repair is all it takes to bring a landscape back to looking clean, organized, and properly maintained.

🌿 Just Completed: Low-Maintenance Landscape Transformation

Over Labor Day weekend, I completed a landscaping project focused on replacing old, decomposed mulch with a clean, durable, and low-maintenance rock landscape.

The project started with removing the existing decomposed mulch and w**ds, bringing the entire area back down to the soil. After clearing and preparing the space, I installed new commercial-grade w**d barrier throughout the area, carefully securing and staking all corners and edges to help keep the fabric in place and provide a proper foundation for the new landscape.

From there, I installed approximately 3 tons of 5/16" squeegee rock throughout the area. The rock was installed in layers and compacted to create a firm, stable surface before being carefully leveled and finished to give the area a clean, neat, and professional appearance.

The finished result is a significant improvement over the old mulch, providing the property with a durable, low-maintenance landscape option that will require much less upkeep while maintaining a clean appearance.

I'm especially proud of the preparation that went into this project. Taking the time to properly install and secure the w**d barrier, compact the rock, and finish everything level is what makes the difference between simply spreading rock and professionally installing a landscape.

From Bare Dirt to a Finished Backyard Transformation

One of my favorite parts of landscaping is taking a space that has so much potential and turning it into something functional, clean, and built to last. This backyard started as little more than bare dirt, overgrown vegetation, and an unfinished landscape that wasn't being put to good use.

My crew and I completely transformed the space from the ground up. We started by clearing out the overgrowth and preparing the entire yard for installation. Once the site was cleaned up, we installed commercial-grade w**d barrier and steel landscape edging to create a clean, long-lasting foundation.

From there, we installed 3 tons of Mesa River Rock, 1 ton of Gray Cobblestone, and 1,000 square feet of fresh sod, giving the backyard a completely new look and creating a space the homeowners can truly enjoy.

One feature I'm especially proud of is the purpose-built creek bed we created using the Mesa River Rock and Gray Cobblestone. Built over a waterproof barrier, it was designed to help direct water during heavy rain, providing both an attractive landscape feature and a practical drainage solution.

About a Week and a Half Ago, We Safely Relocated Unstable Pavers to Eliminate a Safety Hazard

About a week and a half ago, I was called out to a property where several large pallets of pavers had become unstable, creating a significant safety concern for the homeowner. With the weight of the materials and the way they were stacked, relocating them safely was the best solution.

Using a Toro Dingo equipped with pallet forks, my team and I carefully moved each pallet to a more secure location on the property. Every stack was repositioned and restacked properly to ensure the pavers were stable, organized, and no longer posed a safety hazard.

Not every project is about installing new landscapes or transforming a yard. Sometimes it's about using the right equipment, planning the job correctly, and helping make a property safer for the homeowner.
