The Masonic Temple keeps coming up in our conversations about the future of Downtown Willard. 👀

We asked Anthony Gardner of Gardner & Lindsey Insurance Agency, Inc. which downtown building he’d most like to see revitalized, and this was his pick.

Between the history, architecture, and potential of the building, there’s a lot of curiosity about what could eventually happen there — and what kind of business or use could bring it back to life.

Now we want to hear from you:
What would YOU like to see happen with the Masonic Temple?

And maybe the bigger question… should we try to get inside for a future episode? 👀

A big difference from start to finish. 👏

What began with exposed block and prep work is now a clean, finished exterior with new siding built to protect the home for years to come.

Another Bellevue project brought back to life by the Pegasus Builders crew. 🛠️

What kind of business would you like to see downtown Willard? 👇

One idea: a casual eatery where you can grab food or a drink, bring the family, play board games, and actually have something to do downtown.

It doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes the right small businesses can completely change how people use a downtown.

As part of our Revitalizing Downtown Willard series, we want to hear your ideas.

What business do you think Willard is missing? Drop it in the comments.

Willard used to be the place to be downtown. The question is: what would help bring that energy back?

Adam believes there’s room for more entertainment, social spaces, restaurants, shows, and places for families and adults to spend time before or after dinner.

As part of our Revitalizing Downtown Willard series, we want to keep that conversation going.

What kind of entertainment or gathering space do you think would be a hit downtown? 👇

A look back at this Bellevue siding project. 🔨

After damage from the March windstorm, our crew removed the existing siding, addressed the issues underneath, and rebuilt the exterior the right way.

A good reminder that what’s behind the siding matters just as much as what you see on the outside.

What’s missing from Downtown Willard? 👇

During our latest Revitalizing Downtown Willard conversation, a couple ideas came up that we haven’t heard much before:

🧘 Pilates or yoga
🎳 More family entertainment and things to do on evenings and weekends

Now we want to hear from the people who actually live here.

If you could bring ONE new business or attraction to Downtown Willard, what would it be?

Drop your idea below. You never know who might be reading. 👀

There’s damage in some of these downtown buildings. But that doesn’t mean they’re too far gone.

During our conversation with the Willard Area Historical Society/Willard,Ohio, we talked about what it could take to bring more of these properties back to life: willing building owners, a solid plan, community involvement and knowing what funding or incentive programs may be available.

For anyone seriously interested in purchasing, restoring or investing in a property in downtown Willard, there are resources available to help you start that conversation.

The City of Willard Development Department can help connect potential business owners and investors with available properties, business startup assistance, financing resources and programs like Willard’s Community Reinvestment Area.

Historic properties may also qualify for additional state or federal preservation incentives depending on the building and project.

Downtown revitalization doesn’t happen overnight. But it does start when somebody decides a building is worth saving.

What you don’t see matters just as much as what you do.

From joist hangers and approved fasteners to structural screws throughout, the details behind the deck are what help it hold up for the long haul.

That’s the difference between simply building a deck and building it right. 🔨

Reinvesting in Willard isn’t just something Adam Ryman talks about. He’s already doing it.

Adam is one of the owners behind RBK Properties & Holdings, a local investment group focused on purchasing, improving and managing commercial and residential properties throughout Willard and the surrounding area.

You may already know some of their businesses: Willard Varsity Club, Sweet Smitty's and Uncle Dudley's.

For Adam, the goal goes beyond owning property. It’s about continuing to invest locally, creating opportunities and helping bring more activity back into Willard, especially downtown.

And they’re looking for more.

If you have a property you’re interested in selling, are looking for a rental, or have an idea that could help grow downtown Willard, reach out and start the conversation.

👇 And tell us: What would you like to see added to downtown Willard next?
