Some HVAC contractors are offering older R-410A equipment and claiming it will save homeowners thousands. Before agreeing to anything, make sure you’re getting the full story.
Ask the contractor to provide written proof that:
✅ The equipment qualifies for the full manufacturer’s warranty
✅ The system can be properly registered in your name
✅ Replacement parts and refrigerant will remain available
✅ The exact warranty coverage is included in your proposal
A cheaper price today could cost you much more later if the equipment isn’t eligible for the advertised warranty. Please don’t let this happen to you—or someone you know.
Before purchasing any HVAC system, get the model and serial numbers and verify the warranty directly with the manufacturer.
