Noticing small, silver-dollar-sized circles of straw-colored grass or yellowing of your lawn may indicate the presence of Dollar Spot Fungus, a common lawn disease that spreads rapidly in warm, humid conditions with cool nights and heavy rains or morning dew, especially in nitrogen-deficient lawns or those maintained at a short height. To control the spread, adjust your irrigation schedule to early morning to ensure the blades dry quickly. Do not water after sunset and maintain a mower blade height of 2-3 inches to promote healthy grass growth. Apply a nitrogen-rich fertilizer to help the grass recover from damage. If necessary, use fungicides containing propiconazole or chlorothalonil, like Scotts DiseaseEx or BioAdvanced Fungus Control. If you believe your lawn is affected, kindly drop a picture.
