Support is most useful when people know how to reach it. Save these options before they are needed:

• Call or text 988 for free, confidential crisis support, 24/7.

• Contact a health care provider, trusted leader or someone in Team Member Resources.

• If someone is in immediate danger, stay with them and call 911.

Today’s action: Save 988 and share it with someone else.

A meaningful check-in goes beyond “How are you?” Ask privately, listen without judgment and allow time for a real response.

Try: “You haven’t seemed like yourself lately. Do you want to talk?”

You do not need perfect words or immediate solutions. Your presence can help someone feel less alone.

Today’s action: Be willing to start a conversation.

Construction Su***de Prevention Week, Day 2: Notice the Change.

Mental distress does not look the same for everyone. Watch for meaningful changes such as:

• Low energy or exhaustion
• Sadness, worry or isolation
• Trouble focusing or deciding
• Changes in sleep or appetite
• Increased frustration or conflict
• Increased alcohol or drug use

You do not need to diagnose the problem. Simply noticing—and choosing not to ignore it—can be an important first step.

Today’s action: Learn the warning signs.

Construction Su***de Prevention Week, Day 1: Progress Gives Us Hope.

Recent CPWR data shows that su***de and drug-related death rates in construction have begun to decline. That progress shows our industry can make a difference when we bring mental health into the safety conversation.

This week, CK will highlight one practical action each day to help carry that momentum forward.

Start by taking the 2026 CSPW pledge:

“I pledge to learn at least one new way to seek help for someone in need.”
