Every successful tile installation starts long before the first tile is set.

One of the most critical steps is proper waterproofing. In this project, I’m installing the Schluter waterproofing system around the bathtub to create a continuous waterproof barrier that protects the walls from moisture intrusion.
Skipping or cutting corners during this stage can lead to mold, water damage, and expensive repairs in the future. That’s why I take the time to do it right from the beginning.
Quality preparation is what makes a tile installation last for years—not just look good on day one.
