From the ground, nobody notices this pool isn’t a rectangle.

That angled corner wasn’t a design flourish. It follows the property line between the house and the covered area. A straight pool there would have left too much water on one side and no deck on the other.

The palms stayed exactly where they were. The travertine deck was drawn around them, not the other way around.

Calls like that don’t get made on excavation day. They get made in the 3D, with the homeowner spinning the model on screen saying “not there.”

A tricky yard isn’t the problem. It’s what gives the pool its shape.

This side yard had already been written off as “too narrow for a pool.”

It wasn’t. It just wasn’t going to work as the rectangle everyone kept drawing.

So the pool followed the shape of the lot instead of fighting it: spa tucked into the corner, a diagonal edge along the deck, and two in-water loungers sitting on the shallow shelf.

The travertine deck did the rest, running flush from the waterline to the covered dining area with no step in between.

A tight yard isn’t a size problem. It’s a design problem, and we settle that part before anyone pours concrete: you see your pool in 3D first.

Comment 3D below and we’ll show you what fits in your space.
