We’re always having fun at the Borough of Freehold Community for Art Program!
This week, we sat around a campfire and told a silly spooky story about Blue Dog that we all created together. It was so much fun! Yesterday’s class had extra time so we took the time to draw our story. It was a story that I started with ….
“Once upon a time, there was a blue dog with yellow eyes” and then the children and Miss Barbara added the following:
He had a magic paintbrush that made everything he painted come to life. He painted a plain ice cream cone with four scoops. Then he painted green shoes and hands. He painted an excited face on the ice cream cone because he found his pet scorpion that was brown. Then, he tried to give the scorpion a yellow cookie, but the scorpion didn’t like it and yelled, “yuck!”. So he drew 3 dogs. Two were brown and one was black. He used his magical paintbrush to paint 2 more cookies and fed them to the three dogs. The dogs ate the cookies and said, “thank you”.
It’s amazing what happens when we come together and use our imaginations. I love these kids and teaching this class!💙🎨🐾
