See you Saturday!
Time to Battle Woody Invaders
Join the Friends of Kettle Moraine in the battle against woody non-native species in several areas of the Kettle Moraine State Forest – Northern Unit. Team up with the Friends’ volunteers for any or all of these days spent knocking back woody invasives in the State Forest so that native plants can thrive.

Mauthe Lake Tamarack Trail
Saturdays, October 17
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Meet at the Mauthe Lake boat launch parking lot. We will be removing buckthorn, autumn olive, and honeysuckle along the trail.
There will be a limited number of long-handled pruners and saws, so if you have either, please bring them. Wear long pants, long sleeves, gloves, and a hat, tuck your pants into your socks, and remember insect repellent. Also, bring snacks and drinking water. Some of the areas on the Tamarack Trail are a bit low, so waterproof boots would be helpful for that day.
