Many people think epoxy is as simple as cleaning the floor and rolling on a coating, but the most important part of a long-lasting epoxy floor happens before the first drop of epoxy is applied.

Concrete must be professionally ground to remove contaminants, open the pores of the concrete, and create the proper surface profile for adhesion. Skipping this step can lead to peeling, bubbling, delamination, and premature failure.

DIY grinders from big-box stores often lack the weight, power, and dust-control systems needed to properly prepare the surface. What looks smooth to the eye can still be unsuitable for coating, resulting in costly repairs later.

A quality epoxy floor is only as good as the preparation underneath it. Professional surface preparation isn’t an upsell, it’s the foundation of a floor that will perform for years.

Don’t pay twice for the same floor. Invest in proper preparation the first time.

Pricing Update from Coastal City Coatings

As the cost of fuel, materials, and operating expenses continues to rise, we will be adjusting our pricing per square foot.

We’ve always made it a priority to keep our pricing fair and competitive while using quality materials and providing the level of workmanship our customers expect. In order to continue maintaining those standards, this adjustment has become necessary.

We appreciate every customer who supports Coastal City Coatings and trusts us with their project. Our commitment remains the same: quality work, fair pricing, and taking care of our customers.
