This waterfront received a much-needed restoration, replacing cinder block with gorgeous fieldstone. Its mix of shapes, sizes and colors creates depth along the water while giving the shoreline a timeless finish that fits the property beautifully.

And while the difference is beautiful, this project was about much more than looks. Reinforcing the water’s edge helps keep the soil in place, reduce washout and protect the property against waves, runoff and changing water levels.

Leading down the hillside are custom granite flagstone steps—and they are truly a showstopper! Each stone has its own unique shape, markings and rugged surface. Carefully placed one piece at a time, they create sturdy access to the water while making an incredible statement from top to bottom.

From the fieldstone lining the water to the granite flagstone climbing the hill, every piece feels like it was meant to be there. 💗

Shoreline season doesn’t end when winter arrives! We’re scheduling shoreline restorations throughout Winter 2026 and landscaping projects for Spring/Summer 2027.

✨ 𝓛𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓵 𝓾𝓹 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓼𝓱𝓸𝓻𝓮𝓵𝓲𝓷𝓮 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝓷𝓪𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓪𝓵 𝓫𝓮𝓪𝓾𝓽𝔂. ✨

Bold granite against the blue water. Towering pines overhead. Fresh, rich garden beds tucked between natural stone. New life making its way back into the lawn.

This breathtaking lakefront just got a beautiful refresh.

The transformation starts with a stunning granite shoreline restoration — bold, rugged and full of natural character, depth and dimension.

But as beautiful as that granite looks sitting against the water, it has an even bigger job beneath the surface.

Shorelines are constantly exposed to waves, runoff and changing water conditions. Over time, that movement can slowly pull soil away and wear down the bank. Granite riprap creates a strong layer of protection, helping stabilize the shoreline and protect the property against erosion.

Protection that matters — with a finished look that speaks for itself.

And why stop that beautiful granite at the shoreline?

We carried it throughout the landscape, using large granite rock to level up the slopes and surrounding areas of the property. Against the green of the pines, the existing natural stone and the lake below, every piece adds another layer of texture and character while tying the landscape together.

Then it was time to bring the rest of the property right along with it.

🌱 Fresh seed and straw are giving the lawn a new beginning, ready to bring that beautiful green back into the landscape.

🌿 Garden beds were cleaned up and refreshed with fresh mulch, bringing back that rich contrast and crisp, cared-for look.

🤎 And freshly laid crushed red granite adds warmth, color and texture along the driveway for one more finishing touch.

❄️🚨❄️Wisconsin weather doesn’t wait — and neither should your plans.❄️🚨❄️

Today is a little reminder to appreciate the work that happens around us every single day — and more importantly, the people behind it. ❤️

No matter what your work looks like, there’s something to be said for taking pride in what you do, giving it your best, and knowing when it’s time to enjoy a well-earned break.

We’ll be doing a little of that ourselves today — slowing down, enjoying the day, and spending it with our favorite crew. 🐾❤️

KLS will be closed today in observance of Labor Day.

𝓔𝓵𝓮𝓿𝓪𝓽𝓮 𝓨𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓢𝓱𝓸𝓻𝓮𝓵𝓲𝓷𝓮 🌊 🙌

Take your shoreline beyond the traditional.

Blue granite brings an entirely different presence to the water’s edge. Its rich, earthy gray tones, rugged texture, and natural variation create incredible depth and dimension, turning necessary shoreline protection into a breathtaking feature..

This isn’t your average shoreline.

Blue granite catches your eye, bringing natural character, and texture. It’s bold, it’s striking, and it has a way of demanding attention without competing with the natural beauty around it.

Every angle, variation, and layer adds it's own impression along the shoreline — turning something built for protection into a stunning statement piece.

But behind the beauty and bold statement is what matters most — a shoreline built to protect.

Why Shoreline Protection Matters 🌊

🌊 Fights erosion — helping protect soil and shoreline from being lost to the water.
🌊 Takes on wave action — helping break up the constant force of waves against the shoreline.
🌊 Adds stability — reinforcing the water’s edge and helping support the land behind it.
🌊 Helps prevent washout — protecting against soil loss from runoff and changing water conditions.
🌊 Protects your lakefront investment — helping preserve the property you’ve worked hard to create.

A huge shout-out to Ed for his time, and dedication 👏
