I grew up on a farm in north central Iowa. Corn, beans, chickens, turkeys, ducks. I still own that farm today.

Did the October 8 storm hit your street?

Here's what was reported to the National Weather Service that night:
📍 Panora: 1.5 inch hail
📍 3 miles east of Redfield: 1.75 inch hail
📍 South of Cu***ng: 1.75 inch hail
📍 De Soto: 1 inch hail
📍 West Norwalk: 1.25 inch hail

Hail that size can bruise shingles without leaving anything you'd notice from the yard. The damage shows up later as granule loss and leaks.
