🏠 From Wreck to Wow! 🛠️

This duplex was in rough shape when we bought it—it needed a complete overhaul. We gutted everything, replaced all the mechanicals, added insulation, hung new drywall, installed stunning cabinets and countertops, and laid brand-new flooring. We even tore out walls, added a sliding door, and built new decks. The transformation is incredible, and we couldn’t be prouder of how it turned out!

This basement finish that we designed and are managing in Johnston is almost complete. Only a few details remaining.

Just finished texturing the drywall and cleaning. I walked through yesterday with a light and pencil to make sure the walls were perfect before texture.

Starting trim on Friday. This project is moving along quickly. Painting, electrical trim and plumbing in the next couple of weeks.

The owners are excited about being able enjoy their new space soon.

There was a big hole in this garage ceiling with medium popcorn on it. Our drywall technician made it disappear.

Enjoying marking the progress of this radius wall and basement finish in Johnston.

My customer just purchased this home from DR Horton and hired us to finish their basement because they wanted to have some creative input and a little more attention to detail.

Just the other day he walked through another one of their houses with the same floor plan that included their stock basement finish.

He told me that when he compared the pricing, that they were pretty happy because they were getting a custom designed basement finish with insulated walls and ceilings and much higher quality building materials for the same price.

Insulation is so important in a basement finish. It helps in regulating temperature and sound. We even had our crew cut little strips for the radius wall.

When you walk into a basement that's been properly insulated just before drywall installation it's amazing how muted the sound is.

If you are building a new home or finishing a basement make sure that your contractor insulates your interior walls as well.
