Work hard, play hard! 🏗️

The Mims Welding Services & Mims Crane team enjoyed a well-deserved appreciation night with dinner at Saskatoon Lodge, followed by some friendly competition at Main Event. Ending the night with the human crane game couldn’t have been more fitting! We’re grateful for the hardworking crew behind everything we do.

This week we started construction on a new eddy current separator system for a metal recycling plant in South Carolina. They are building this to prepare for the new shredder they have coming in September. We are excited and grateful to be a part of this project. We hope everyone has a safe work week. God bless!

We’ve been doing a lot of welding and repair work for a concrete plant lately. We have added some wear plates in hoppers, added some base plates for new anchor bolts and jacked the structure up to level it, and we are currently rebuilding the blades in the mixer.

A few jobs we fabricated recently. The 8 large platforms are heading to the Arthur Ashe Stadium renovation in Queens, NY. The 4 small ones are heading to the University of South Carolina’s health sciences campus. Blessed for all the work we’ve had lately!

Recently we demoed and repaired a small retail building that caught on fire recently and had structural damage. We replaced several of the bar joists and decking per the engineers request, and now they are one step closer to getting these businesses back open.

This morning we installed a roof access ladder on a Starbucks we erected the structural steel on a few months ago. Now to catch up on some small projects around the shop, such as beefing up and cutting old teeth off this skid steer grapple.

Another small fab and erect job we recently knocked out for one of our customers.

Fabricated and installed the roof access ladder and dumpster gates for a new Guthrie’s chicken restaurant in Monroe, NC. We did the structural steel a few months ago. Great to have this one wrapped up!
