Behind on positing. Went back to deck build in Bridgeton and added under decking to close off the underneath. Added a door for storage. Sprayed the grass to kill, then laid down w**d barrier to prevent under growth. Also trimmed back 4 trees that were over hanging the deck. Added some solar powered post cap lights and metal hand rail.

12x12 Deckorators composite deck w/ picture frame design. Replaces the decking on an existing deck. Sistered fresh lumber to existing joists opposed to demoing the whole deck since the framing was still in good shape. Rebuilt the stairs. But had to fabricate a metal bracket for the steps to sit on due to previous stairs having a different layout and having an existing concrete pad. For the railing to work to code, we had to design the stops differently. Making them fall short of the landing. So we just built a metal fram to attach to the concrete to extend it.

Yesterday we went to help my parents clean up a massive chunk of a Hackberry Tree that spilt out on them Thursday evening. Barely brushed against the house. Minor gutter damage.

Over the winter and early spring we have been working on a free standing deck project as weather permitted. Finished up this phase of the job on Monday. We'll be going back in a few weeks to close in the underside and add solar light post caps.

Over the winter and early spring we have been working on a basement bathroom off and on. Put the final touches on it. We picked up and adjusted some framing done by a previous owner. Added some framing to close off a storage room. The homeowner ran the electric and set the shower door. Everything else we tackled for them. The home owner actually milled the Oak wall planks and Walnut base trim themself. They are also building their own vanity and we'll be back to help them install at a later date.

Quick brush clean up job in Oakville the other day. We have multiple jobs currently going on. Looking to start getting them wrapped up shortly. A deck build just passed framing inspection. A basement just had subcontracted HVAC/plumbing work completed and is ready to start framing. Finishing up a basement office and a full basement bath with a tiled shower. And almost finished up with refinishing some basement stairs with wainscoting and new oak treads. In the meantime, I've been taking a rope class and getting to do some pretty cool training on the fire side.
