A little lakefront transformation 🌊💪

This seawall project required a lot more than simply stacking stone. We worked through excavation, grading, geotextile installation, rebuilding and reinforcing the shoreline, and carefully placing large stone to create a cleaner, more stable finished product.

Lakefront properties come with their own challenges, and we’re proud of how this one came together.

From drainage and grading to retaining walls, shoreline work, and complete landscape installations, Ashwood Landscaping is equipped to take on the projects that require a little more planning and a lot more dirt moving.

🔥 Lakefront Landscape Refresh Complete! 🔥

This project was all about taking overgrown, tired landscape beds and giving them a clean, updated look that complements the home and the incredible lake views.

✅ Removed overgrown and outdated plant material
✅ Installed new block edging for clean bed definition
✅ Re-shaped and expanded landscape beds
✅ Installed w**d barrier fabric
✅ Added fresh black mulch throughout
✅ Installed new boxwoods and hostas

The result is a much cleaner, more intentional landscape that frames the home without blocking the view.

🌳 From Unusable Slope to Functional Outdoor Space 🌳

This project started as a steep, difficult-to-maintain area surrounding a mature tree. The goal was to create a clean, usable feature that blended naturally with the existing landscape while helping define the space.

We installed a curved retaining wall around the tree, carefully followed the grade, and finished the area with decorative stone for a clean, low-maintenance look. The result is a focal point that adds structure, improves usability, and gives the backyard a completely different feel.
