Sarah and I walked this with Sid yesterday. Wonderful weather and really cool Lego sculptures.

I suggest going today! Rain soon and then hot forever after that :-p

The Shop had an away game today!

Client asked for a full rebuild of four storm windows. I cut all the parts on site - next is the glue up and paint while the replacement glass is being cut.

This project put my table saw joinery to the test - had a couple ‘make it work’ moments - but success is in sight.

William Wilkins | RE/MAX United | Excellence in Real Estate

Welcome!

I've been less present in the shop of late because I'm focusing on my real estate business and soon-to-arrive baby.

I've switched to RE/MAX United and invite you to check out my page - myrealtorwill.com - and to please keep me in mind when you need a real estate professional.

I imagine this page will take on a more "home DIY" flavor going forward :-)

Best,

Will

Built this last weekend to welcome our newly-adopted TV.

The shop's social media presence has taken a 3rd row back seat to my work in real estate but I'll try to keep the updates coming when I can.

Orders for corn hole boards are taking off! Recently upped my game to stencils. While I'm not particularly stoked about football (and specifically native-appropriative mascots), I am pretty excited with how they came out.

It's been a while since I've been in the shop since moving into our new house and starting up a real estate business (Will Wilkins - Realtor), but recently I built some corn hole boards for UCM. I've received a few other orders that I'm working on filling so we can all have a look at my ability to stencil! More to come :-)

Welcoming the newest member of the Will Build workforce: BOOM! The '99 Taurus SE wagon. (Pause for ooh's and aah's) Step one to operating a successful shop (or any bx for that matter): acquire suitable hardware within available means. Now to design and mount a rack for material transport. This'll be super classy :-)

It's been a whirlwind of a month! I received my first order for the Kuranda dog bed crate through Etsy; what a learning experience. In addition to design edits, production, and shipping, I also made a video explaining how to assemble the product.

Client's proposal: to build a custom structure to convert a specialized dog bed (200lb mastiff) into a full house/crate for their pup.

Leaning heavily on dados and lap joints, this piece can be parted out and transported to provide a lifetime of elegant utility for my client. Oak frame and bars, Baltic birch door, and a cherry/maple veneer top.

Have you been considering a new piece of furniture to add beauty and functionality to your own living space? Feel free to send me a message and we can discuss bringing your ideas to life.

Thanks,

I built this jewelry box for Sarah's birthday back in October. Oak frame, Sapodilla (I believe) drawers, and Maple accents. I really like how it came out, and it's presently serving Sarah's jewelry/makeup storage needs. I also made a base for the ring holder. Thing kept falling over! Problem solved, looks pretty :-)

Thanks for your time and checking out my work!

The site's been quiet, but the shop's been busy! Here are some simple upgrades that have improved capacity and scope of the shop:
1) Router table with micro-adjustable fence and dust collection.
2) Workbench with bench screw/dogs and storage space.
3) Expanded work surface and adjustable fence for the drill press.
