We evaluate before we estimate.

Every SRK renovation and construction project begins with an on-site inspection and a written report. We document existing conditions, from structure and plumbing to equipment and hardscape, and record what the client wants and needs.

We then review the findings with the client and any other interested parties. Only after that conversation do we prepare a formal proposal, with scope and investment built on what we found.

Pain make man think. Thought make man wise. Wisdom make life endurable.

Marlon Brando says it as Sakini in The Teahouse of the August Moon (1956), in a line written by John Patrick. We keep coming back to it because it's the arc of almost every pool owner we meet.

The pain is familiar: green water over the Fourth, the heater down in August, the same repair every season. We read those moments the way a chef reads a dish that keeps coming back from the dining room — not as bad luck, but as information. Thought is the better questions. Why does this keep happening? How was this pool built? What does the whole system need, not just the symptom?

The season doesn't decide when we build.

Under our inflatable enclosure, a pool renovation runs straight through late fall and winter. The structure spans the shell and the surrounding deck, and heated air inside holds the temperature that tile, plaster, and stone work need to cure properly. It inflates in place, with no scaffolding, so gardens and terraces are left as we found them.

Winter enclosure dates are limited. Book this fall to guarantee a spring completion, and the pool is filled, balanced, and ready before the first warm weekend.

Meet Steve Kenny, owner and founder of SRK Pool Services.

Forty years building, remodeling and servicing pools on the East End of Long
Island. A Culinary Institute of America grad who brought a chef's philosophy to
the water: best ingredients, best technique, best talent.

Steve designs Advanced Oxidation Process water treatment systems — water quality
most pool owners never knew was possible. He is published in WaterShapes
Magazine, an IWI member, and an East Hampton native building the family business

Water you feel nothing in — and at the same time, feel everything.

Most pools are built around a single chemical solution, and a service technician to keep it in balance. We build around four layers that share the work: activated glass media in place of sand, high-concentration plasma ozone on a 25% sidestream, medium-pressure UV, and CO₂ pH control on a Blu-Sentinel controller.

Where the ozone and the UV meet, they form hydroxyl radicals — the same advanced oxidation chemistry municipalities use on drinking water. By the time the water returns to the vessel, a trace of free chlorine is all it needs: 0.1 ppm, held exactly. Soft on skin. No sting, no chemical smell. It holds through heat, bather load, and weather.
