Cost savings: If you have older windows with decayed ledges and sashes, but not the funds to replace them...Consider repair.
Most window companies will tell you this can't be done, but I assure you, it can, and at a 60-75% cost savings.
Example: 10 windows removed and replaced...Up to $10,000
10 windows repaired ......Under $1,000
It is always better to replace with energy efficient windows, if you are able, but repairs can be more cost efficient and despite what you may be told, is certainly possible in a professional quality.
