Today in Comanche County we had our first encounter with our namesake plant sans the red fruits! The Tasajillo, Christmas or Jumping Cactus is know for having pieces fly off and stick to everything. That answers the number one question we get. What is it?

The number two question we get is, “how do you say it?” Tasa-he-low is how we pronounce it. Are we right? Let us know!

Monday, for our first job in the field we had the pleasure of dividing a beautiful tract of land on Childress Creek in Bosque County.

Today was the best full circle moment of my life. 🥲

23 years ago (2003) my Dad (Byrl Cogburn) encouraged me to move to Waco and attend TSTC for their Land Surveying Program. He said he was always waiting on the Surveyor so it had to be a good profession.

At 18 years old I took his advice, I just never came back to DeLeon to help him out.

Today I did my first ever survey for Cogburn Real Estate. It’s been 23 years in the making.

Dad, thank you for sending me down a good path. Thank you for encouraging me to take the leap. I’m so proud to have finally done a survey for you. 😢❤️
