Hello, I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself. I’m a local home builder and remodeling contractor with over thirty years of experience, proudly serving the Virginia Beach community. My journey after being in the U.S. Navy. I became a carpenter shortly after and developed the discipline and work ethic that still guide my work today. I do what I love most…building and creating quality spaces that last. I’m a proud family man and the father of a daughter who is a successful loan officer. 🛠️ Homeowner Advice: Budgeting for Your Remodel 💰

One of the biggest mistakes homeowners make during a renovation is not planning for the unexpected.

👉 Rule of Thumb: Always add 10–15% extra to your budget for surprises like hidden water damage, outdated wiring, or material price increases.

Budgeting Tips:
• ✅ Get multiple quotes before committing
• ✅ Prioritize must-haves over nice-to-haves
• ✅ Ask your contractor about potential hidden costs upfront
• ✅ Keep a small “rainy day fund” for peace of mind

A well planned budget means fewer headaches, smoother progress, and a project that stays on track.
