How everyone's accountant feels today
Garden ponds are a great way to attract wildlife through bright flowers, the sound of water and providing a safe space they can inhabit in peace.
Our customer just posted this gorgeous spring photo of one of our favorite jobs and said they were so happy they live here - and we're so happy that they are enjoying one of our most beautiful koi ponds! Many thanks for allowing us to create this for you! We have to agree it is breathtaking ❣️

It’s gonna’ be a scorcher! So it’s important for your pond & your fish to:
• Provide extra oxygen with an air pump
• Keep your pond running
• Make sure your pump is clean
• Maintain your water levels and use dechlorinator for city water.

What's your style? Formal, natural, modern, traditional, Asian garden, country garden? Koizilla Monster Ponds can plan the pond that you dream of and one that is just right for your location!
Whether large or small, indoors or out, residential or commercial, a pond is a long term investment that can be either your greatest joy or your worst nightmare! The experience and expertise of a professional pond installer can provide many years of the calm atmosphere and beauty that you are hoping to achieve. Knowledge of design options, proper installation techniques, proper maintenance procedures, and an understanding of the balance in a living ecosystem are just a few of the reasons to hire and depend on Koizilla Monster Ponds for all of your pond installation, repair, maintenance, and service needs.
Whether you’re filling a small corner of your property or creating an impressive fixture that fills half your front yard, your fish pond will be enhanced by a beautiful natural-looking waterfall.
Waterfalls not only add visual beauty and the relaxing sound of trickling water, they help to aerate the water, making it healthier for the fish. You can count on Koizilla to have the special knowledge to design and create a properly functioning waterfall for your pond. We know the right size of waterfall to keep it in proportion to the pond, construction techniques for safely building the waterfall when children or pets live on the property, and the consequences of certain building materials on the occupants of the pond.
A koi pond or other backyard pond is a major installation, designed to bring relaxation and beauty to your home for years to come.
You may notice that the water in your pond is extremely clear when the seasons are changing from winter to spring. While the water seems clear at the time, organic material such as leaves and plant material may have placed a large number of nutrients into your pond over the winter and this will cause a surge of algae growth once spring arrives. As if algae were not enough, a large amount of organic material in your pond will start to decompose and will reduce the oxygen content in your water which is detrimental to the health of your fish. When water temperatures are around 50 degrees, it is the perfect time to get your pond ready for the season. Call us at 757-474-1149 to schedule your spring clean-out early!
Just a reminder to call us and book your spring pond maintenance early – our calendar starts to fill up fast! Spring is on the way and it’s the perfect time to think about maintenance on your pond before the fish, plants, and other pond life come back to life as the temperatures warm up. As the days begin to get warmer, your pond will start drastically changing. The living organisms in your pond have spent the winter in hibernation and are ready to emerge. Water temperatures around 50 degrees signal the perfect time to service your pond and get it ready for the coming season.
Is this rad or what? Just beyond cool!
Do you have lots of trees near your pond? If you're expecting the annual blizzard of falling leaves, netting the pond can help to keep them out and maintain better water quality. Black netting is less visible and supporting the net so it doesn't float helps too; just clean the leaves off as needed. And the net can come off once the leaf blizzard is over!
Emergency pond netting call today - lots of beautiful koi in this pond and the heron was planning to feast. He'll have to dine elsewhere tomorrow!
HaHa, those koi are OK - really! See the size of the pond and fish - and see the size of the food boxes. And of course, any extra food floats and can just be scooped out. Such a big kerfuffle - on the broader scale of things, we have bigger fish to fry!
At a welcoming ceremony at Tokyo's Akasaka palace, the president appears to grow weary of a traditional koi feeding — so he simply dumps the contents of his box of fish food.
Enjoy your extra hour on Sunday - sounds like we'll have a beautiful day here!
Feeling like fall today
Hmmm....would you like an indoor pond?
Garden ponds are little oases that can really put some Zen in your life! Picture it now; you sipping your morning coffee, reading your favorite book, mesmerized by the lazy swish of fish tails and the soothing sounds of the water.
What a tranquil setting to hear the musical sound of water cascading over the waterfall and watch the sunlight sparkling on the water!
From today's Beacon:
"Eleanor and Gwendolyn Spivey took part in the Blessing of the Animals ceremony at Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay. They made sure the koi in the Tuttle Courtyard were included in the blessing."
Brings us great joy to see both young and old enjoying the koi and the pond! We service Westminster's ponds twice a month to keep everything clean, running properly, and make sure the fish are healthy and happy. Thank you for the blessing, girls!
Hawaii anyone? Imagine having this island style oasis - like a vacation every day!
It is said that koi bring good luck. This gorgeous pondscape looks very lucky indeed!
Ok, he's not a fish - but most of our fans love the "critters" of all varieties. One of our Basset hounds Jack developed glaucoma and blindness in one eye. None of the meds worked to get the pressure down, so we had to make the very difficult decision to remove the eye. Poor baby was NOT happy in that collar! He seems to be recovering well though, probably taking it better than we are.
Just finished this lovely little backyard oasis! Went from a plastic preformed pond to a landscaped pond with waterfall. There are some happy fish here!

The sun came in and made a rainbow on my coffee cup this morning!
Daisy a French bulldog and Frank a koi fish have a special bond - they're caught smooching in the pond! Happy 4th to everyone!
