✨ L O N G P O S T A N N O U N C E M E N T ✨
This is one of of the hardest posts that I’ve had to make.. I am going to be completely transparent with my customers, supporters, followers, and myself. As I have finished my last banner that I was currently working on, I am going to be closing my banner business for awhile and taking a very much needed mental health break. I’ve gone back and forth about even making this post because this business means so much more to me than just painting banners. I also feel like the people that have supported me, ordered from me, shared my work, recommended me, and help me grow — deserve to know where my heart is right now… The truth is.. life has been extremely hard for me lately. Our family recently made a huge change and moved three hours away from everything that we’ve known. Right now, all seven of us are living in our camper while we try and figure out what the next chapter of our lives look like. My kids have had to leave everything familiar behind and start completely new schools. I had to pull my daughter from dance — something that she loved and that had been such a big part of her life. I had to take a leave from my job, so right now I’m not working at all.
This move didn’t happen because life was easy before it. For six months, my husband was working away from us. During that time, I was trying to hold absolutely everything together at home. One of my children needs some extra love, patience, structure, and assistance because he struggles with some pretty extreme behaviors and regulatory issues. I was begging for help because I knew I couldn’t keep doing everything alone. I needed support for him, and I desperately needed someone I could trust and that was capable of caring for my children so I could continue working nights. Eventually, something had to give. Now, after moving, changing schools, leaving my job, adjusting five children to an entirely differently life, trying to be a mom and a wife and keep up with banner orders and deadlines and everything else life has thrown at us… I have reached a point where I have to admit that I am not okay. My mental health is not in a good place right now. As hard as that it is for me to admit publicly, I know that I cannot keep pouring from a cup that is completely empty. What makes this decision even more heartbreaking is what this business represents to me.
When my husband broke his back, I started this business. What began during one of the hardest times in our lives, became something I genuinely fell in love with. I worked SO HARD to build it into what it is today. It became something that was for me. Not me being a mom or a wife. Not the person taking care of everybody else. It was just me. I got to create. I got to paint. I got to take someone’s ideas and turn it into something special for their child’s birthday, graduation, baby shower, wedding, first day of school, or anything. Seeing pictures of my banners hanging at your events have meant more to me than I could ever explain. So please understand that temporarily closing my business has been heartbreaking for me. I did not work this hard to just walk away. I am not giving up… however… I am just giving myself permission to stop for a little while.
Right now, my children need me. My marriage needs me. My family needs me. And honestly…. I need me.
All orders that have been paid have officially been fulfilled. I have fulfilled commitments that I have made. I would never leave someone that has already trusted me and paid me without fulfilling their order. If I have already created a mockup or design for you and you still want that banner… please feel free to take that design to another banner artist and see if they would be willing to paint it for you. I truly mean that. I want you to be able to use the idea we created together. To every single person that has ever ordered from me, shared one of my posts, tagged me when someone needed a banner, recommended me to a friend, complimented my work, trusted me with an important event, or even cheered me on…. THANK YOU. 🥹🫂 You helped me build something that I am incredibly proud of. You gave this mom something that made her feel like herself again. And you supported my family during times when we genuinely needed it. I will never forget it.
This isn’t a goodbye forever. It’s just me pressing pause. I don’t know exactly how long I’ll need. I don’t have a reopening date… I don’t want to put another deadline or expectation on myself right now. I just know that for this season of my life, I need to put the paintbrush down. I need to take care of myself, take care of my babies, and adjust to this new life and try and find myself again. Hopefully, when the time is right, I’ll pick the paintbrush back up… Until then… thank you for loving my little business and believing in me. This isn’t the end, just a much needed break while I take care of the person behind it. 🫂🥹
With all my love,
Taylor.💜
