We are excited to celebrate our Athletics Department Secretary, Lori Mathews, in the Vidor ISD Employee Spotlight! She has been in this role for many years and juggles so many responsibilities across all sports throughout the year. She handles all season ticket sales, coordinates ticket sales with opposing teams for home and away games, and provides support for coaches in all sports for scheduling, equipment purchases, and sets up assists with all transportation needs. She is the go to person for countless athletes and parents when they have questions, and she directly assists the athletic director in coordinating all athletic needs and communications with opposing districts. We appreciate Mrs Mathews and all she does to provide meaningful support for our student athletes.

The American Red Cross has opened a cooling shelter at:

Borden Chapel
3495 Roland Road
Beaumont, TX, 77708

Hours: 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The shelter provides a place to get out of the heat, cool down, charge phones and other devices, receive hot meals, and pick up available relief items.

Please note: This is a daytime cooling shelter only and is not an overnight shelter.

Good morning everyone! We know it’s been a bit of a rough week for everyone after Tropical Storm Edouard. We definitely had our own minor damages and run of no electricity. We sincerely hope you and your families are doing okay and are safe! ❤️
