I’m so thankful we were able to experience totality!! I prayed yesterday for the Lord to please allow us to see and to please part the clouds, if just for a few minutes during totality. We looked over to Southwest and saw a huge opening in the clouds. They moved away just before totality and covered again just as it ended!

Important alert from City of Venus, Texas

August 1, 2023 at 9:49pm A boil water notice is being issued for the City of Venus.

This is a result of a major water leak located at the prison. The systems pressure has dropped low enough to require a boil notice.

Public Works will monitor water quality over the next few days and updates will be issued.
