We get this question a lot this time of year: 'Is it too late to plant trees and shrubs?'

The short answer? Nope! In fact, fall can be a great time to plant. Here's why:
Cooler temps are easier on new plants
Fall rains mean less watering for you
Roots keep growing even when leaves drop
Less stress on the plant means better establishment

But keep in mind:
Aim to plant at least 6 weeks before the ground freezes
Make sure to mulch well for extra protection
Water regularly until the ground freezes

Pro tip: This is a perfect time for planting evergreens, oaks, maples, and many deciduous shrubs.
