The electrical version of “we’re gonna need a bigger boat.” 😂⚡

As homes add more equipment, the electrical demand can grow right along with them.

This property received a 320 amp electric service upgrade, giving it substantially more capacity for current and future electrical needs.

Most homeowners only ever see the meter and the closed equipment.

We thought we’d show you the part electricians actually like looking at. 👀

Clean connections. Thoughtful routing. Plenty of power.

Sometimes an electrical upgrade isn’t about what you need today. It’s about making sure the house is ready for what you want tomorrow.

If this picture makes perfect sense to you, you might be an electrician. 😂

If it doesn’t, that’s okay. That’s why the labels matter.

There are a lot of circuits living inside these panels, and knowing what each one controls makes future service and troubleshooting a whole lot easier.

Nobody wants to start flipping breakers and yelling across the house:

“DID THAT TURN IT OFF?”
“NO.”
“HOW ABOUT NOW?”
“NO.” 😂

Good electrical work should make life easier for the next person who has to work on it too.

Can an electrical meter have curb appeal? We’re voting yes. 😂⚡

Another 200 amp service upgrade looking clean on the side of this home.

There’s a lot more behind a service upgrade than the equipment you see in the finished photo, but we’ll admit it’s pretty satisfying when everything comes together like this.

Straight conduit. Clean equipment layout. Nothing trying to become modern art.

Just a good looking electrical service doing exactly what it’s supposed to do.

Would you notice this walking past the house?

The rooftop isn’t glamorous, but somebody has to make everything up here work. ⚡😂

This is one of those electrical jobs most customers will probably never see.

Electrical connections for rooftop equipment involve more than simply getting power to the unit. The disconnect, wiring and service access all have a purpose when it comes to operating and maintaining the equipment.

Not every job ends with a beautiful fixture on the wall.

Sometimes the finished product lives on a roof and quietly does its job every day.

And we’re perfectly fine with that. 😎

The stage of a renovation where homeowners say “😳” and electricians say “perfect.” 😂

There’s nothing glamorous about open walls, exposed boxes and wiring in progress.

But this is actually one of the most important stages of the job.

Before the walls are closed, we have access to plan and complete the electrical work that will eventually power the finished space.

Right now it looks like construction.

Later, most of it will never be seen again.

And that’s kind of the point. ⚡

We’ll have to come back with the finished photos because this one definitely deserves an after.

Two families under one roof means the electrical setup needs to work for both. ⚡

We completed this two family service upgrade in Oceanside, NY, with separate electrical metering for each unit and exterior disconnecting equipment.

The goal was simple. Give the property an electrical service that makes sense for how the home is actually being used.

Another Long Island service upgrade in the books. 🔌

EV charger installation is a little more involved than “plug it in and charge.” ⚡

This Tesla Wall Connector is a good opportunity to explain something homeowners often ask us about.

EV chargers can represent a significant electrical load because they may operate at high power for several hours at a time. Before installing one, the existing electrical system should be evaluated to determine what it can safely support.

That can include checking the electrical service and panel capacity, determining the appropriate circuit, sizing the wiring and breaker, and planning the installation location.

Another important point: installing a higher-powered charger doesn’t automatically mean your vehicle will charge at that maximum rate. The vehicle, charger settings, and electrical circuit all affect the actual charging rate.

A little planning before installation goes a long way. 🔌🚙

🚧 WORK IN PROGRESS in Island Park, NY

We’re currently installing a new 400A, 3 phase electrical service.

The project is taking shape, but this photo shows the installation before completion. There’s still more electrical work ahead before we call this one finished. ⚡

We’ll share the final result when it’s ready.

WORK IN PROGRESS 🚧

There was a plan. We promise. 😂

We’re currently working on the electrical for multiple exterior AC condensers and service receptacles.

The notes might look like gibberish, but they helped map out what you’re seeing take shape now.

Still more work to go before this installation is complete. ⚡

🏠 This is what a beautiful renovation looks like before it becomes beautiful.

We’re currently working on the electrical side of a full house renovation on Long Island.

New wiring, lighting, circuits and power are all being planned around the finished home.

Most of this work will eventually be hidden behind the walls.

The results won’t be. ⚡

Stay tuned for the finished project.
