A focal point should do more than warm a room—it should set the entire tone for the home. For this phase of full-home renovation, we replaced an outdated wood-burning stove with a built-in framed wood-burning fireplace engineered to command the space.

Rising all the way to the cathedral ceiling, the new stone masonry features a rich palette of subtle, organic earth tones that bring warmth and dimension to the room. We anchored the design with a custom bluestone hearth and a hand-crafted keystone detail set right above the opening.

To honor the character of the space, we removed the outdated stone pad from the floor while preserving the original partial stone wall to the side—repurposing it into dedicated, integrated wood storage.
