Went on a kitchen witch tangent to cook up some better wax paste to use on the truss altars. After a lot of experimenting I needed a mould quick and this one I made in my pigeon toes likeness was handy! I’m set on using beeswax from friends’ hives and no nasty solvents on this project. Pure wax works for buffing a finish but it’s very hard to spread even and burnish into the wood, commercial wax is often too thin and reeks of turpentine. This stuff is all food safe - it’s basically a hard lotion and works like a charm!

When global supply chains fail: grab a sprue off the foundry scrap pile, anneal and hammer straight(ish), grind a foot to chuck into the (wood) lathe, identify and rough high points with the angle grinder at rest, turn with the flat of the grinder disc resting in the stock, lolololololol
